dreaming
i had a really strange dream last night, or early this morning. anyways, i dreamt i was at home, and trying to get dressed, but not being able to decide what to wear. i try on this ugly skirt and a tanktop and put a shirt over that, and go out, but then i change my mind, take off the shirt because it's too sparkly and put on a different tanktop. when i'm done, my parents take me to some kind of awards dinner thing, but it was really casual so everyone was in jeans. my parents have disappeared, and now i'm in some kind of small hall, with carpeted floor-- but it's not nie squisy carpet, it's that really short carpet, like the kind you find in a waiting room. there are about 5 round tables, with like 6 or 7 people sitting around each, and the tables are arrranged three in back, two in front, and the very front of this room has been cleared to make a sort of makeshift stage. to the right of the stage is a podium.
anyways, i remember sitting at (if you're facing the stage) the table on the left in front. i forget who's sitting next to me, but i know that they are friends of mine. suddenly, i recognize someone from the middle back table-- it's this guy i used to like in puerto rico in high school! what the hell?!?!?! i'm not positive that it's him, so i make eye contact and mouth his name, and he nods and i'm like, "NO WAY!" and we go and hug.
what's really strange is last i heard, this guy was somewhere on the east coast.
ANYWAYS, while we're hugging, someone grabs my hand and drags me to the stage. another girl, who was in my mentoring group is already doing a hula dance to hawaiian music, and whoever it is that is dragging my hand is now making me hula since this other girl has just fnished. so i'm doing the hula in my jeans and they start cheering a little. YAY.
