initial d madness
i love initial D. at first i thought it was kinda dumb, but then i watched from the beginning. and it was incredible. i couldn't stop watching. i didn't use AIM all weekend so that i could finish. it was soooo good. i watched when i got home in the evening until about 3 in the morning. and even then it took me something like 4 days to finish it all. i even gave up part of my trading spaces saturday night block to watch it. i'm soooo addicted. i love the soundtrack, i love the characters, i love the cars. IT WAS SO EXCITING! how can a bunch of pictures, some people talking, and cars make for such an entertaining anime??? there was a story apart from the car racing, about teenagers growing up and realizing their potential. that was also pretty good. well done. it was just a well done anime over all.but i can't believe how addicting it was. it was like a drug or something! while watching i could feel my heart pounding in my chest, and i couldn't wait to watch the next part of the series once one episode ended.
i hated mogi. she was such a yucky character, and they way she speaks in the third person is really horrible. though it's probably not translated that way, it was relaly weird to hear in the japanese
i wanted to mako and iketani to get together. it's very sad that they couldn't work things out. maybe in the future of the series, they'll have a chance
i wanted to see ryosuke's kengai racing team. that would have been incredible. maybe they're saving that for the next stage of the series.
ryosuke and keisuke are the best looking. coincidentally (yea right) they are also the best drivers. just like takumi is a good racer, so of course he must be good looking. itsuki is arguably less attractive than takumi. that's why he is the sidekick.
what am i gonna do without my initial D now. i was so addicted. but now there's nothing left to do but watch the series over again. but really, it was absolutely surprising. i went from being pretty indifferent about cars, to wanting to know about car engines and drift, and 4WD versus FR or RR cars. i want a manual transmission... SOMEBODY TEACH ME!!!! so i can learn how to drift for myself!!! YEAH!
