update time!
so whatever it was that was screwing up my blog decided to go away. YAY.
i dislike my espm class
so yes, i have a new class to hate. it's my espm class, ecosystem ecology. we study soil and nutrient cycling. i wish i could drop this class, but i really have no choice, seeing as it is a requirement for my major. almost. see, as an integrative biology major, i'm supposed to know a little bit about a lot of disciplines, with maybe an emphasis in one area, say human biology (which is actually the case). so, one of my requirements is a class that in an emphasis that i dont get exposure to in my field. so what should have happened is i would take a class in intro ecology and evolution (IB 100B-- the intro class for my emphasis is IB 100A).
unfortunately, there was no professor for IB 100B this semester, and i was forced to take a class that can subsitute the material in that class. so now i'm taking an upper division ecology class in the espm department, because all the other classes that might satisfy the requirement also require that i take a concurrent lab section. I'M NOT ABOUT TO TAKE A LAB SECTION MY LAST SEMESTER IN COLLEGE. so. i'm taking this espm class. BUT this class if chock full of grad students, and hard core espm people. nothing against them of course, but obviously, they've got an edge over me in terms of previous knowledge of the course material. so that sucks. what's more is the material isn't that interesting to me. at least not yet. maybe that will change and i'll have a chance. i hope that will be the case.
