Tuesday, October 22, 2002 bio clocks strikes again for the first time in about two weeks, i went to bio clocks lecture. i'm so proud of myself. granted, i started falling asleep and the girl sitting next to me had to wake me up so i could pay attention again. but still. i got there. and on time too. WOW. and OMG we started a new topic! imagine that! well, it was kinda interesting, if not repetetive, considering we looked at the same old charts and graphs as usual. *sigh* i think it's pretty safe to say i wont be trying to take the second half of the course, bio clocks part II, next semester. i shudder at the thought of having to take another semester of this... classical japanese lit - lesson 3: japanese soaps in other news, i love my japanese lit class. no classical j lit lessons lately... i'll have to think of one... but anyways, this class is so fun! we get to talk about the tale of genji, which is basically the worlds "first" novel. in my opinion, it's also the worlds first soap opera. where else are you gonna find a boy who is in love with his stepmom because she looks like his dead mother, and eventually has a child with aforementioned stepmom! or find the wandering spirit of a jealous wife kill her husabnd's new lover? or two guys fighting for the love of the same woman, only to find she is incredibly boring. or where a guy kidnaps a young girl to "raise" her as his daughter-- and eventually the perfect wife!? and *gasp* SHE looks like his dead mother too! the men are good looking, bi-sexual players, and the women are always beautiful and get jealous and kill people. hm. sounds like an award winning soap to me... the REALLY funny thing is... all this was totally believable back then!! phase I so i gotta think of classes to take next semester. i need an ecology class and two writing classes. i need to write. yes. go away writers block!! AHH! i suppose it doesn't seem like i have writers block, but all i'm writing is drivel... not poetry or stories or plays, and that's what's gonna get me into the creative writing classes. we'll see. i also need another lit class. i'm thinking of taking the second half of the J lit in translation series. it's been a hoot so far. and a great source of blogging material. fickle weather is for SUCKS. posted by tha muce -|- 10/22/2002 06:50:00 PM -|- reassuring comments?!?! ---> so far!
